White Plains, NY
As a busy, career-focused mom, the convenience of life in a more urban corner of the suburbs is the perfect fit for Kiono. The Yonkers native recently closed on a new condominium in White Plains, upsizing into home ownership from a rental property.
It has everything I need. Even after many things close, you can drive to another part of town and find it open.
What isn’t within walking distance for Kiono isn’t much further with a quick hop in the car. She values having many options for just about everything from shopping to childcare, which she considers a natural benefit of living in a more densely populated place. Whether it’s getting to Bronxville for work or the Westchester Children’s Museum in Rye for play, White Plains offers ideal accessibility to it all.
You can get that real, inner city vibe with a far more relaxed feel—without all the congestion.
Kiono looks forward to talking advantage of everything White Plains has to offer, both for her 3-year-old and herself. She plans to explore the nearby Bronx River running path, enroll her daughter in ballet or martial arts and get to take a class or two for herself.
