What's to love about life in Rye Brook? The people, places and proximity to NYC are just the tip of the iceberg.
When I moved to Rye Brook in 2005, I was newly married without kids. We didn’t know much about the village, but it checked most of our boxes offering great schools, close proximity to Manhattan, access to highways and trains, and above all a safe community. Fast forward 14 years, and my family, which now includes 2 active boys, still loves calling Rye Brook home thanks to the close-knit community and amazing people.
As an agent in the Houlihan Lawrence Rye brokerage, I am excited to introduce prospective buyers to Rye Brook and share what makes this village such an amazing place to live. Here, I’m sharing my favorite places and spaces in the village of Rye Brook. Hope to see you there!

Shop ‘Till You Drop
In the 14 years I have lived here, the Rye Ridge Shopping Center has undergone many changes, and the bustling retail hub is still a go-to for my family. With over 75 specialty retailers, eateries and services plus complimentary parking, it’s a great one-stop destination for anything you might need (or want!) to taste, buy or do.
You can tap it back at Soul Cycle, get ripped at Ripped Fitness, sweat it out at Bikram Yoga, or get lean and toned at SLT. You can get massaged at Massage Envy, have a cryo treatment at Chill Cryo, a blow out at Hott Blow Dry Bar & Beauty Lounge and bronzed skin at Glow. Coco Nails and European Wax Center gives residents a place to go to unwind and get manicures, pedicures, and waxing.

The latest and greatest boutique fitness trends are coming to Rye Ridge. Brand-new to the center is Salt + Sweat, a high-end wellness lounge offering holistic treatments. And Strech*d, a new fitness concept from the founder of SLT, plans to open this winter. Focusing on stretching and overall wellness, Strech*d offers a convenient, customized, feel good way to improve your health with one-on-one stretch sessions.
If you’re looking for super cute contemporary clothes and accessories, there are great options including Z Life Denim Lounge, Lesters, Mixology, Indigo Chic and Shoe-Inn. Sportech is an amazing staple for sports clothing, shoes and equipment. For special occasions like homecoming and prom, All Dressed Up is the only boutique you’ll need to visit.
For the kids, there’s East Pointe Dance and Eye Level Learning for homework help. And of course, you can’t leave without a visit to Learning Express Toys.

And after all that activity, you’re bound to be hungry. Grab a bagel at Lenny’s, a salad at Chopt, burger at Elevation Burger, a burrito at Chipotle or a bowl at Dig Inn. Meet friends for classic Italian at Fortina and bring home a bottle of wine from The Wine Cellar.
There are also the shopping center staples including CVS, Chase Bank, Starbucks, Balducci’s Food Lover’s Market, Cerbone’s Bakery, Landsberg Jewelers, Rye Ridge Deli and PostNet where you can find almost anything you could possibly need.

Parks & Rec
When you think of the suburbs, you think of green spaces. And Rye Brook does not disappoint. We are lucky to have two beautiful parks to play and relax in. Pine Ridge offers tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball fields, a sandbox and playground. Crawford Park offers residents plenty of field space, a mansion that can be rented for parties, plus a newly renovated playground. Next door is the Rye Hills Park with basketball hoops and a walking trail. Garibaldi Park also features tennis courts, a little league field, basketball courts and a playground.
The village also has an incredible recreation department, offering a wide variety of activities for all ages from Pre-K to seniors. And the Rye Brook athletic field is fantastic for kids of all ages to practice their skills.

Back to School
Rye Brook is part of the Blind Brook School District, which includes the Bruno M. Ponterio Ridge Street School for students from Kindergarten to Grade 5, the Blind Brook Middle School, for students in grades 6 – 8 and Blind Brook High School. Just outside of the village, Rye Country Day School, is an independent, co-educational college preparatory school for students from Kindergarten through high school.
