If lake living is your dream lifestyle, look no further than Copake Lake.

A gorgeous body of shimmering water located 95 miles north of New York City, Copake Lake measures .8 square miles in size, but brings unlimited energy to the fishermen, boaters, waterskiers, paddle boarders and runners who reap the recreational wonders of this special place.

Apart from the natural beauty Copake Lake offers, one of the things that makes life here so special is Copake Country Club. Copake Country Club has found its home on the shores of Copake Lake for one hundred years, and is a cornerstone of the lake community.

The community that surrounds Lake Copake is small but dynamic, ranging from Columbia County locals to farmers, artists, and other transplants who have made the area their first, or second, home.

Copake Lake’s shores are peppered with private docks and a marina, while the renowned Copake Country Club presides over its northwestern coast. The 6,266-yard championship 18-hole golf course, designed by legendary architect Devereux Emmet and opened in 1921, affords inspiring views of tranquil glassy mornings and vibrant summer afternoons from many of its lush, sloping fairways.

For food enthusiasts, The Greens Restaurant situated on the grounds of Copake Country Club is the place.  A farm-to-table eatery lead by Culinary Institute of America chef Glenn Strickling, the restaurant’s seasonal menus highlight the bounty of Columbia County and the Hudson Valley.

Copake Lake is also a popular destination for weddings.  The Barn at Copake Lake, a charming converted barn dating back to the 1800s sits on 4 acres of land surrounded by trees, woods and grass, the perfect scenic location for any event.

With golf, water sports, fine dining, beautiful walks, and the hip downtown of Hudson just a short drive away, Copake Lake is the perfect place to dip your toe into lake life, for a weekend or a lifetime.
