If you love wine,  there is no greater pleasure than a well-designed Wine Room.

In years past, the standard wine cellar was an appealing yet modest amenity, typically just a cool closet to store a small supply of wine.

More recently, as larger homes became the norm and wine collecting became a more popular (and lucrative) pursuit, the cellar has transformed into a place of greater importance .  Today, we often see opulent wine rooms enhanced with intricate architectural detailing, computerized climate controls, party-sized tasting areas and the space to store thousands of bottles.

Here's a sampling of the extraordinary wine rooms featured in a few of our Luxury Country Property estates for sale.
