IrvingtonThe Village of Irvington is located just  22 miles north of New York City and sits on the eastern bank of the Hudson River. It is adjacent to the towns of Tarrytown, Dobbs Ferry and Greenburgh. Irvington is  named after Washington Irving, best known for penning The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Rip Van Winkle. His historic home "Sunnyside"  is a destination for history buffs and picnicking families, who enjoy special events on the great lawn.

Main Street overlooks the river and is lined with charming shops and restaurants that give this town a personality all its own.  Local stores offer shopping convenience with choices that include Geordanes Market , a go-to spot  for specialty foods, the Irvington Wine shop, with a great selection of wines, and perhaps Soho East for purchasing that perfect gift.  Restaurants such as The Red Hat, Dayboat Café and Chutney Masala offer not only great food, but panoramic views of the Hudson River.

Irvington is prized for its waterfront parks, and recreational opportunities which include abundant green spaces with miles of hiking and biking trails.

A  highlight in the center of town is the  Town Hall Theatre, modeled after the Ford Theatre in Washington, D.C., and built in the 1902 in the Classic Revival Style. This historic gem offers theatre, dance and film programs for young and old alike.
