    Caramoor Opening Night

Caramoor will celebrate the kick-off of its 2017 summer season with its annual benefit event on Saturday, June 17. The Center for Music and the Arts’ biggest and grandest night of the year includes a pre-performance cocktail reception and an elegant Italian dinner al fresco, premium concert seating in the Venetian Theater for the concert, “Celebrating 20 Years of Bel Canto at Caramoor with A Night of Italian Opera,” and the After Dark post-performance party with desserts and dancing.

While we love to attend for the fine food by Great Performances, sublime wine, social networking, and fascinating people-watching opportunities, the highlight is irrefutably the concert. With “Bel Canto” or “Beautiful Song” as the evening’s theme, you can’t go wrong. Artist-in-Residence soprano Angela Meade will be featured in an evening of Italian opera, including popular overtures, classic arias, rousing choral numbers, and heartbreaking duets.
