It's been a little more than a week since we announced our new office at 100 West Putnam Avenue in Greenwich, marking the opening of our 26th brokerage and first in the state of Connecticut. For the past 125 years, we've served Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess counties, and we're excited to bring our local expertise, topnotch technology and experienced team of agents to the communities of Greenwich.

During the past several days, you may have noticed a few key changes to our website (including a special message flashing on and off on our homepage.) To give users the inside scoop regarding school information, transportation access, points of interest and market conditions within Fairfield County, we'll be incorporating areas from within Greenwich to the 'Our Communities' section of houlihanlawrence.com.

To kickoff our entry into Connecticut, Houlihan Lawrence would like to introduce the communities of Greenwich, Cos Cob, Riverside and Old Greenwich.

Thirty-plus miles of coastline provide direct access to Long Island Sound, as well as an abundance of public parks, beaches and harbors for residents looking to take advantage of the area's many outdoor recreational outlets.

Greenwich Avenue serves as the town's vibrant pulse and heartbeat, with its diverse downtown housing numerous luxury brands such as Anne Fontaine and Tory Burch and restaurants like The Ginger Man along its business-lined streets.

A harbor town bordering the Long Island Sound and the Mianus River, Cos Cob's peaceful downtown village is home to an eclectic group of restaurants and a diverse range of housing options.

Residents enjoy in-town living in condominiums, town homes, and multi-family homes or Cos Cob's many charming residential neighborhoods. Though its modern throughout, the neighborhood has small historical touches like the Bush-Holley House and Cos Cob Art Colony that add to its rich local character.

Riverside YC-1Originally established by a community of farmers, fishermen and oystermen, two Riverside sites are listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Riverside Avenue Bridge and the Samuel Ferris Home.

Located between Cos Cob and Old Greenwich, the two-square-mile neighborhood packs a big punch with its dining options; foodies can pick up some quality produce at Balducci's or stop in for an elegantly modern experience at James Beard Award nominee Francois Kwaku-Dongo's eleven14 Kitchen.

Old Greenwich epitomizes the quintessential New England town, with miles of beach and parkland comprising this vibrant coastal community. The town's largest beach, Greenwich Point park (or known to locals as Tod's Point), features 140 acres of picturesque waterfront, with walking paths, public bar-b-ques, and alluring beachfront throughout.

On any given day, residents can be seen strolling down Old Greenwich's main street, South Beach Avenue, enjoying some local fare from one of the neighborhood's cafes.
