Great Eats in Horse Country
Looking for a delicious breakfast or lunch in horse country? Head to the intersection of Bloomer Road and Route 121 in North Salem to discover what may become your favorite destination for fresh baked goods, coffee, paninis, cold sandwiches, and salads. Hayfields, a converted former gas station, where flowers bloom, and locally grown produce overflows in baskets and coolers, is a great, dog-friendly place to meet friends for thick milkshakes and smoothies, as well.
Market
While you wait for your food, you can head outside to the garden center or shop inside for local produce, eggs, syrup, and pies. The carefully curated selection in the gift section ranges from Oggi water bottles and tumblers (buy a tumbler, get a free large iced coffee!) to bottle stoppers, cocktail napkins, and umbrellas.
Eat In/ Take Out/ Catering
Take a seat at one of the picnic tables out front to enjoy your meal, or indoors you’ll find intimate tables for two to four and a large communal table in a sunny alcove. Hayfields also offers food to-go and off-site catering.
Live Music
Hayfields hosts live music events monthly. Local bands perform from 7 pm to 9 pm, while the staff serves food, wine, and beer. Stop by as early as 6:30 to order and find a seat. All are welcome.
Cars & Coffee
On the first Sunday of every month, Hayfields hosts Cars & Coffee. Drive up in your favorite set of wheels, grab a classic Bacon, Egg & Cheese or a Breakfast Powerhouse (egg sandwich with avocado, black beans, feta cheese, and kale on wheat toast), and wash it down with a café Americano or a cappuccino.
