North of NYC North of NYC By Houlihan Lawrence By Houlihan Lawrence by

For many years, Houlihan Lawrence has proudly sponsored the Fitch's Corner Horse Trials. Hosted in the heart of Millbrook hunt country on the 150-acre farm of Fernanda Kellogg and Kirk Henckels, the show has become a staple to summer for the Hudson Valley equestrian community.

To celebrate the event's 25th Anniversary on July 21-22, we've partnered with Field + Supply to create a pop-up experience celebrating tasteful living north of New York City. Our lounge will feature artisan pieces for the home from FAIR curated by Field + Supply's founder Brad Ford, inspired by local lifestyles and emphasizing local designers. Sawkille Company and Dzierlenga, both based in Dutchess County, will be represented, alongside additional pieces by JM SzymanskiFredericiaMQuan StudioSpace Copenhagen and Overgaard & Dyrman.

Field + Supply has been a leader in the burgeoning "maker movement," garnering attention from the likes of Vogue and Architectural Digest. The event, held each fall, has been integral in putting our region on the map for world-class tastemakers, many of whom have embraced the Hudson Valley and Connecticut as an ideal Hamptons alternative.

For us, it's a natural alignment. Since the beginning, Houlihan Lawrence has been deeply-rooted in the creative community. Started by Sarah Lawrence College founder William Lawrence in 1888, we began initially as the sales arm for Lawrence Park, the Bronxville, NY, artist colony inspired by Barbizon in France’s Fontainebleau Forest area. Original Lawrence clients included painter Will Low, writers Kate Douglas Wiggin and illustrator William Thomas Smedley. High-profile figures in music and the arts continue to trust Houlihan Lawrence today, and with our Private Brokerage team's well-earned reputation for discretion and privacy, we're ready to do it for another 130 years.
