CARAMOOR CENTER FOR MUSIC & THE ARTS—right here in our backyard—is a destination for exceptional music, captivating programs, spectacular gardens and grounds. Enthusiasts travel to Katonah from throughout the tri-state area to unplug, unwind, and enjoy performances with family and friends in this bucolic setting. While the spring season is in full swing (Wednesday morning concerts, Flamenco in the Courtyard, cabarets and quartets in the Music Room), the summer season opens on June 16.
Summer 2018
The line up for the summer season is chockful of high-profile talent, from superstar Audra McDonald opening the season with the Orchestra of St. Luke’s under the gala tent to the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra performing Handel’s Atalanta and The Knights performing a family concert. Dianne Reeves will headline the Caramoor Jazz Festival, while Aimee Mann will lead the day-long American Roots Music Festival. And there’s so much more.
Eat, Drink, & Listen
Caramoor offers a pavilion with seating, al fresco tables, and grassy lawns for enjoying refreshments from the Tap Tent, Katchkie Food Truck, Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, and pre-ordered picnic boxes. More formal dining is offered in the Symphony Court where a delectable, prix-fixe buffet dinner and an open bar are available after concerts. Be sure to check Caramoor’s policies for these dining options.
Need a ride?
Take the free shuttle from Metro North’s Katonah station to and from Caramoor, Thursday through Sunday in season, and on Wednesday, July 4.
Year-round Enrichment
While the Dancing at Dusk and Pops, Patriots, and Fireworks programs are popular summer draws, Caramoor is more than just a summer destination. If you haven’t yet visited, you simply must tour the Rosen House—a stunning mansion listed on the National Register of Historic Places, wander through the gardens, explore the Sonic Innovations, or make a reservation for afternoon tea. In early winter, the Holiday Tea Musicales are not to be missed.
