Bronxville is just 15 miles north of midtown Manhattan and one of the first suburbs in Westchester County upon exiting New York City. The commute to Grand Central from the Bronxville Metro-North station, conveniently located within the village, is less than 30 minutes and makes this charming village a favorite commuter town. Bronxville is just one square mile, but this small village packs a big punch.

    1. Bronxville has a terrific community spirit. And that community spirit is on display every Memorial Day weekend with an old fashioned Memorial Day Parade on Pondfield Road (the main shopping district in the village) followed by a community-wide barbeque.
    2. Bronxville’s spirit and camaraderie start with its merchants and village officials. Mayor Mary Marvin doesn’t drive (who needs a car in a small village like Bronxville?) and you can run into while she does errands by foot. No need to visit City Hall when the Mayor is so accessible and well-known by local residents.
    3. Bronxville’s gorgeous architecture and convenience is another reason people love to call the place home. The shopping district resembles a quaint English village with wide avenues and residents have everything they need within a 3-block radius… a fish market, butcher, grocery store, cheese shop, wine stores, restaurants, delis, art galleries, bookstore, hardware store, movie theater, furrier, wedding store, ladies clothing and shoes, jewelry stores, drug stores, home decor stores, children's clothing, a running store, stationary shops and office supplies!
    4. This Saturday is the Grand Opening of the successful Bronxville Farmers Market, which runs through November every Saturday morning at Paxton and Stone Street.
    5. Community amenities abound in Bronxville with over 70 acres of parks, athletic fields, woodlands, and bike and walking paths. Bronxville’s paddle tennis courts and leagues are offered to all.
