We couldn't have asked for a more wonderful time at Old Salem Farm for the 2014 American Gold Cup.  The arrival of fall weather Friday made for an absolutely perfect afternoon in the VIP tent and the Houlihan Lawrence Grand Prix Overlook, where mixologists shook Vermont Spirits maple bourbon cocktails that couldn't have paired more perfectly with the season. An array of vendors flanked the main thoroughfare, with everything from apparel to antiques, cappuccinos to saddles and punny pug photography books.

Jessica Springsteen—The Boss' daughter—rode away on Vindicat W with the $200,000 cup, besting 32 other qualified entrants.
